Es una afección nerviosa en la que se comprime el nervio tibial posterior ubicado en el tobillo. También se conoce como “disfunción del nervio tibial” o “neuralgia del nervio tibial posterior”. Esto es similar al síndrome del túnel carpiano en la muñeca de las extremidades superiores, pero ocurre en el pie. Esta compresión nerviosa puede causar dolor, entumecimiento y hormigueo en el pie, así como en los dedos. 1 El túnel tarsiano es un espacio estrecho en la parte interna del tobillo en la cara medial por donde pasan tendones, vasos sanguíneos y el nervio tibial posterior....
