La diabetes tipo MODY (Mature Onset Diabetes of the Young) es la forma más común de diabetes monogénica, la cual exhibe una herencia de tipo autosómico dominante.1

El diagnóstico de este tipo de pacientes, a menudo, se confunde con el de la diabetes tipo 1 o 2. Sin embargo, una característica notable es su manifestación, la cual usualmente ocurre antes de los 25 años.1
