Las infecciones de vías urinarias son una de las enfermedades bacterianas más comunes encontradas en la práctica médica que afectan a personas de todas las edades y considerablemente más a las mujeres, ya que la mitad de ellas tienen al menos un episodio en su vida y el 20-30% tiene dos o más. El espectro clínico de las infecciones agudas de vías urinarias abarca desde la presentación de disuria, frecuencia y urgencia urinaria, dolor suprapúbico y hematuria....
