Las lesiones agudas de rodilla se observan comúnmente en la práctica clínica, muchas veces limitando la función, la movilidad y la calidad de vida.1

La causa más común de lesión de rodilla es la participación en actividades deportivas y recreativas, y las personas menores de 25 años tienen más probabilidades de sufrir lesiones durante estas prácticas.1
