La reducción de las complicaciones después de una cirugía y la recuperación temprana son dos de los pilares fundamentales que han impulsado la mejora de las técnicas quirúrgicas y el manejo perioperatorio.1

La evaluación y el tratamiento con enfoque integral son esenciales y requieren la colaboración entre los equipos de enfermería, anestesia y cirugía para identificar y gestionar los factores de riesgo.2
